Frequently Asked Questions

What sort of milk do you use?

In our classes we use Farmhouse (silver top) milk from the supermarket. We do this because we want it to be easy for you to find milk and make cheese after the workshop.

We use cow’s milk in the workshops, but you could substitute with goat or sheep’s milk.

I already make some cheese – do you have any workshops for me?

We offer a variety of different workshops suitable for people at all stages of their cheesemaking journey.

With more than 2,000 cheeses in the world to choose from, we aren’t going to run out of ideas any time soon!

We are constantly developing new workshops so make sure you like our Facebook page and are also on our mailing list so that you are the first to hear the news. If you have a particular workshop you’d love us to offer – let us know and we might be able to work some magic!

Do you provide food at the workshops?

All of our workshops include a cheese board, snacks and drinks, and most workshops also include a delicious dessert. We can cater to all dietary requirements except vegan, as long as you let us know in advance.

When you book your ticket for a workshop you will be able to let us know then and if you forget you can always contact us before the workshop.

How big are your workshops?

Our public workshops are limited to 5 people. This is so that you can get individual attention and maximum learning.

If you have a group of 5 colleagues or friends you can book a public workshop just for you. We are also happy to look at adding a special date for you.

We can run workshops for your group of more than 5 and are also willing to travel to you – please get in touch to discuss this further.

If I want to continue making cheese will I need to buy lots of equipment?

There are some things you will need to have on hand to make cheese like rennet and cultures (depending on what you are making), but when you are starting out you don’t want to spend a fortune on your new hobby.

Our workshops show you how to make delicious cheese with a minimum of expense on equipment. You can usually make cheese using things you already have at home.

Once your hobby grows, you may well decide to invest in some extra equipment, but that’s a decision for the future.

Where can I buy Cheesemaking supplies?

Everything that you need to make cheese can be purchased from us on the day of your workshop or through the store.

Once you have done a workshop with us you are entitled to a 10% discount on cheesemaking supplies from then on.

Do you accept EFTPOS?

Yes, we do.

How long have you been making cheese for?

Anne has been making cheese since 2017 and started off with halloumi, quickly getting excited about all the possibilities.

She hasn’t looked back since and is constantly learning more that she is eager to share.

Would you come and speak to our group?

Anne is an engaging and entertaining speaker and would love to come and speak to your group about cheese.

Please contact us to explore this further.

What is your refund policy?
